Not Showing Up In Local Searches?

You’re not alone. Most Ontario small businesses are invisible in local search, and paid ads aren’t a long-term fix. Local SEO is.

I help Ontario Businesses show up where their customers are actually looking. That means Google optimization across Search, Maps, and the AI tools people now use to find services near them.

What real local SEO covers

Ranking is only half the job. The other half is turning that visibility into booked calls, leads, and sales.

Search Is Bigger Than Your Website Now

Google and AI tools pull from everywhere, your site, your GBP, your reviews, the content that mentions your business, and the answers AI gives when someone asks about your industry.

That’s why good local SEO means building content and signals across the places your customers actually search. Your website is the foundation. Everything else now has to point back to it.

Don't know where to start?

Most business owners don’t. Local SEO is a long game, not a one-time project, and the hardest part is knowing which piece to fix first.

I work with Ontario businesses from the first audit through the results. That means prioritizing the moves that matter now, measuring what actually changes, and adjusting as Google and AI search keep shifting.

I’m a freelance local SEO and content strategist based in Windsor, Ontario, offering digital marketing to small businesses in Windsor and across the province.

I studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at St. Clair College and built my early portfolio working with local organizations and on in-depth SEO projects. Now I help Ontario businesses show up where their customers actually search: on Google, in Maps, and in AI tools like ChatGPT.

No agency retainers. No 40-page reports. Just the work that gets your phone ringing.

How long until I see results?

Most local businesses start seeing ranking movement within 2 to 3 months, with meaningful traffic and lead increases around month 4 to 6. More competitive markets and industries take 6 to 12 months for real results.

Anyone promising first-page rankings in 30 days is either lying or using tactics that will get your site penalized. SEO is slow, compounding work. What matters is whether you are ranking for the right keywords, whether your content is attracting the right traffic, and whether that traffic is converting into customers.

How much does local SEO cost?

Most local SEO agencies in Ontario charge between $1,500 and $5,000 per month and aren’t always transparent about what you’re getting. My pricing starts at $800 per month for foundational work and scales up based on the scope and competitiveness of your market.

You can see the full breakdown of what each tier includes on my pricing page.

What's the difference between SEO and Google Ads?

Google Ads are paid placements at the top of search results. The traffic starts the moment you pay and stops the moment you don’t.

SEO is the work of ranking organically below the ads, in Google, Google Maps, and increasingly in AI tools like ChatGPT. Organic rankings are often trusted more than paid ones, and the traffic compounds over time instead of disappearing when the budget runs out.

Most local businesses benefit from both. Ads fill the pipeline while SEO builds the foundation.

Do you work with businesses outside Windsor?

Yes. I’m based in Windsor but work with local businesses across Ontario, including Toronto, London, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, and smaller centres. The work is done remotely with monthly reporting calls and strategy sessions over Zoom.

If you are outside Ontario, reach out anyway. A lot of this work translates across provinces.

What is AI search optimization and does my business need it?

AI search optimization, also called GEO or generative engine optimization, is the work of getting your business cited when people ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews for recommendations in your industry.

More people are using AI assistants instead of search engines every month. If ChatGPT recommends your competitor when someone asks “best cosmetic dentist in Hamilton,” that is a customer you lost before you knew they were looking. Most Ontario businesses are not yet doing this work, which is both the problem and the opportunity.

Do you require long-term contracts?

No. Engagements start with a 3-month minimum, which is the honest minimum needed to set up the work and see early results. After that, you move to a month-to-month arrangement with 30 days’ notice to cancel.

No 12-month lock-ins, no auto-renewing contracts, no penalty fees.

Will I actually see a positive return on investment?

Usually yes, when the engagement runs long enough for the work to compound. Six to nine months is a fair benchmark.

My approach is brand-first SEO. After the initial technical setup, the work becomes about building your authority across the places your customers and Google both care about: directories, local press, events, partnerships, and content that positions you as the expert in your field. This is what separates SEO that makes your business look more important over time from the kind that just chases keywords.

Nobody honest will guarantee ROI. But if your market has search demand and one new customer is worth at least 2 to 3 times my monthly fee, the math usually works.

Why should I hire you instead of a more experienced agency?

Honest answer: I’m early in my freelance career, which means I have a smaller portfolio than an established agency, but it also means you get focused, hands-on work without the overhead of layered project management or junior account managers. I treat each client’s business like my own because I have to — my reputation is everything I’m building right now.

If you need someone with 50 published case studies and a track record across hundreds of clients, you should hire an agency. If you want direct access to the person doing the work, transparent pricing, and an SEO partner who’s hungry to deliver real results, we should talk.

Let's see if I can help your business.
